Statement of Intent

Here is our initial draft for our movie opening scene project. Me, Kellie and Kristine worked together on making this table.

Concept

After discussing further, we made some changes on our storyline and concept of our movie opening scene. Our original idea was to introduce a number of crew members showing the audience a mysterious video they found in the dark web (which was supposed to be the second scene of our opening). However, we were worried that the first scene of the crew members would take up too much time, since the duration is very limited. Hence, we decided to directly start off our movie opening with the supposed mysterious video which shows a group of teenagers playing around with a cursed board game found in the attic.

Supernatural item

In addition to that, we also changed the main supernatural item. Initially, we wanted to use a cursed board game as our main supernatural item. However, we decided to replace that with a creepy, mysterious book that the group of teenagers randomly found in one of their friends' abandoned attic.

Reflection৶ꕤ७

The statement of intent is probably one of the most easiest things to make compared to all the other steps. Me, Kellie and Kristine only took an hour (the whole two sessions of media class) to complete our statement of intent. I feel like our discussions were very effective as more ideas kept flowing smoothly.

However, it gets complicated when our ideas start changing and evolving. It's not a bad thing, but it can get a little confusing and sometimes cause miscommunications between our members. On top of that, keeping on track of our changes in our blogs is a hassle sometimes.
