Week 2

We made our brief blog for this term's project, crime documentary. We also got with new teams, this time randomized by Mr. Nick's cards. I like my team and it feels good to work with new people once in a while. Additionally, we also researched into crime documentaries and noted down our points in a table that Mr. Nick provided for us. He also told us to do our own research on crime documentaries at home.

Week 3

We did more research on crime documentaries on Netflix, continuing our previous research sessions in class. We watched two more, and I think both of them were quite engaging and interesting. They gave me inspirations and ideas.

Furthermore, we also started making out statement of intent. During the process of making it, my team was able to come up with new and interesting ideas through discussions. We decided to settle with stalking as our main sub-genre.

Week 4

We started our storyboard, location scout and risk assessment & our script. We split jobs and I am in charge of the storyboard along with Candra's help. Sagara is in charge of the location scout and risk assessment. Lastly, Cassie is in charge of the script.

Week 5

We continued our storyboard in class. Mr. Nick said that he will be grading one of it so I'm trying my best to complete that one before the deadline on Tuesday. We also started making our filming schedule on google docs. We planned on doing our first filming session on Saturday at my house.

Week 6

We started our CR (Critical Reflection) prep on Google Docs, where Mr. Nick prepared a table for us to fill in. It guides us with questions that will help us answer the 4 main questions in our CR. I think the table he provided makes it so much easier for us as it helps us cover all of the key information that has to be added in our CR.

My group started filming a few scenes and I'm very proud of us for that. All of us were present and we showed good team work. We plan to finish filming this week so that we can start editing soon.

Week 7

We did some filming on Sunday at my (Mai's) house. It was difficult to film because of the current situation. One of our members (Candra) couldn't come because the area he had to pass through wasn't safe, which could expose him to potential risks. We filmed most of our clips at my (Mai's) house.

In class, I (Mai) started editing. Sagara continued planning our CR using the guiding document that Mr. Nick made for us. Cassie started on behind-the-scenes. Candra is absent because of a school tournament. I'm proud of my group's progress.
