After discussing, me and my team decided that we wanted to major in horror, specifically found footage horror. It is a unique genre of horror, playing in the idea that the film is a real thing that happened that was recorded by the participants and later found and presented unedited.
Niche or mainstream?༘⋆✿
Our project is niche because our target audience is specific and specialized. We want to appeal people who enjoy the thrilling sensation of watching a realistic horror content. We are also creating this project with a low budget, hence our project is niche.

With a small team, they work on films that cost little to make and gives their writers freedom to be creative. Because of this, I believe that Blumhouse Productions would be the perfect company to produce our content because of its low budget since our project was determined to be niche. Despite this, most of their films end up being extremely successful, such as these two films:

Reflection ꕤ⊰˚。
Doing research on Blumhouse Productions and Lionsgate helped me learn more about how movie companies work. I found out about their most successful movies, like Get Out for Blumhouse and The Hunger Games for Lionsgate, and how these films made them popular.
What I liked about this research is that I learned what makes a movie successful and how these companies plan their films. It also showed me how Blumhouse can make popular horror movies with a low budget, while Lionsgate makes a lot of different types of movies.
What I didn’t like was that some parts of the research took a long time, especially finding good information from different places. It was a bit hard to pick out the most important details. But overall, this research helped me understand the film industry better and will be useful for my future projects.
